I think it's important to respect people's decisions. It is their hard earned after all. Ultimately we all invest for our reasons and with our own risk levels and time frames.
Many points you made along the way have come to be proven correct.
However, the resource remains there, the quality is somewhere there, the need/demand is almost certainly coming. That is why I'm here. It's 5-10 years for me - regardless of some small trades here and there. The bulk of my holdings are for my kids. It won't change my life but may change their futures.
