well ....if you don't know that history there's something wrong with you
the russian expansion occurred in 1945 - huge and easy after what the Germans had left behind and completely unjustifiable to annexe , absorb and control all those many other nations
but they were unable to maintain control because their economy failed and the iron curtain finally fell and civilised russian leaders pre putim allowed nations absorbed into the USSR to operate independantly
then there was putin .....who vowed to return what he believed belonged to russia - do you seak to deny ?
expansionism returned !
Putin maintained Lukoshenko in power by threat of force and stuffing ballot boxes in Belarus , putin went into Georgia and has three times attacked Ukraine
if he was able he would be doing a lot more but the hated NATO prevents that
NOW ....YOU TELL ME .....why does the biggest country in the world need to steal a smaller countires land ...and how can that NOT be expansionist?
And the other thing you've been avoiding ....you say russia attacked Ukraine over security concerns ......this would be the pefrect time for NATO to attack russia if they were ever going to ....why haven't they ?
And why , if russia were truly concerned by that has putin stripped all his troops from the NATO border to fight in Ukraine ?
Leaves him very vulnerable .
There is no doubt at all that this war was an opportunistic land grab .
