The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians has been going on for decades. Lots of people hurt and suffering over a long time. I dont know all the details. I gather the Israeli occupation of Gaza is oppressive. Hamas have said this attack is in response to desecration of some Mosque and things like mistreatment of prisoners and Israeli settler attacks . I think the invasion was madness and will have very serious consequences for people in Gaza. I think its interesting the Israeli intelligence had no warning of the invasion that was organised for up to 2 years. Suggests to me that no one in Gaza is sympathetic at all to Israel. So the Israeli heavy handedness and intimidation has contributed to a brutal invasion that they had no warning of. The response is more violence and more embitted people. I have no answers to stop the cycle.
