I disagree. Albanese did as he said he would and I actually admired his decision, and he stuck to it as best as journos and questioning would allow.
he showed integrity. something that has been lacking for so long, since Gillard, that it seems strange and ill-fitting.
but I do get your point that he is tarnished. I think he will stay on and run the next election and let the nation judge him then. if he loses or reduces seats held, imo he'll then step aside for a spill.
I wouldn't like Shorten to have another shot.... he too is badly tarnished.
