They will probably go across to computershare US given they use computershare AU. If you look at that registry you can dipose of them directly with them. They will be both the registry and the broker. So you don't have to do anything.

Or you can then transfer them to another broker which will give you more services. Commsec is probably the best in Australia but there are cheaper like IG etc. Up to you. The Aus broker will have an arrangement with the US broker you won't have to do a two stage process. They won't be transferred to Australia they will stay in the US proxy like. They won't be shares they will be ADS so that is a bit different as discussed above.
