Hmm. On Grandpas (Batty) side - they were Methodists and I think were originally from Great Britain - mainly Scotland perhaps. They disowned Pa when he married a Catholic. My sister has some notices at home - which is absolutely no help to you at the moment- as she’s travelling Australia.
Did know Pas name was ‘Jack’ Batty and he worked in a pub in Geelong.
