No doubt Israel is not popular in the Arab world. Israel themselves are extremely well equipped militarily, and the likelihood of Iran attacking Israel (with the absolutely certain guarantee that Iran would be flattened beyond recognition should they do so) seems very low.
Regardless, there is zero gain for anyone outside of Israel supporting such an offensive against Iran. I imagine most Israelis don't want such a catastrophe. The point remains these groups hate each other and somehow the west is made to feel like it is their problem to solve and they must side with Israel offensively to solve it.
That for me is a trigger for disaster, but still these people push for it.

Well, just need to look at the coldwar and the fear it induced from another country stockpiling nuclear weapons with a direct opposition to the western way of life. Iran seems similar in that respect.
I fear an escalation of war with Iran will be WW3 and if Iran have nuclear weapons at that time, knowing the fragility of their leaders it will lead to a far greater catastrophe for civilisation.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Israel obviously the proxy here. it makes sense.
