I know from previous announcements to temper any expectations around the share price. The market expects this to be positive so I don't expect a solid rerate in price.
We have had about 1.7mn shares added short in the last 6 months, with two relatively large positions in the last few weeks - a 500k and 700k daily short. Around 74 cents seems to be the price they are prepared to enter at.
A Chinese deal is interesting. As a few have postulated, this could be a company maker in it's own right. With this in the background, I wonder if the shorts will continue to climb?
