You say ....No matter what they find in these coal wells there's no monetisation immediately available from them so what's the point of drilling them now? Seems like a waste to me.
JH obviously has a plan and this could be to indicate the extent of the resouce for a cashed up suitor waiting in the wings, one who is actually interested in the coal resource. Emquires by outside companies have been alluded to in the past, otherwise as you say it could be a waste of time and resources and there appears no other obvious reason to push ahead with the coal at this stage.
