Misty - heard that broadcast - they are not only uninformed, they are dopes! And these people vote!!! Shallow drop-kicks. Either that, or they see an election as a fun thing - (a bit like Gillard) - lots of giggling gets you through. (Bring in non-compulsory voting!!)
Voters should also keep in mind that, should the Greens get a good hold on the Senate and perhaps a seat in the Lower House, the'll enforce their policy of cutting out the private health care rebate! Eliminate it completely! (Read their policies)
This will put an enormous strain on the public health system, and severely affect the health outcomes and lives of thousands of people who have chronic conditions and want, indeed rely on, the doctors/hospitals of their own choice. Some people scrimp and scrape to afford it - e.g. pensioners, people with young families, the disabled, and will have to drop such cover if the Greens get their way.
To say nothing of the Death Duty and Capital Gains Tax on the principal residence policies.
And as we don't know their secret deal with Labor details, bet from Day 1 we'll get the beginninds of the Carbon Tax they both want.
(To say nothing of the secret deal with the big 3 miners - Greens want that tax to go to 50%!)
Perhaps this is the most vital election Australia has had for decades with regard to the future of our country. Many now predicting that a second huge wave of financial trauma is on the way.
