Welcome back meerkat,
I recall a quote from the report from the reporting geo for CRA who described the Rockland area as a "tuftic deposit" I don't have the time to go looking for that report at present but I recall thinking that the word "tuftic" suggested to me that the deposit was spread in "tufts " which I inferred meant that the copper was sporadic and certainly not in a sheet of variable thickness along a length hence whilst there may have been excellent percentages in certain cores there wasn't any continuity across the region until the next "tuft" was drilled. We were fools to infer from the nicely coloured in continuity 3D drill core drawings perhaps.
So, I guess that there may be a lot of rubbish in between the desirable ore, hence the overall percentage and grade is lower than the spectacular grades we were shown on the way through.
Anyway that's my two bob's worth or maybe that should only be a shilling's worth after the last two days!!!!!
