Yes, the example is tongue in cheek. My point is, these comments are spoken with utmost confidence and surety.
I'm actually yet to see any concrete proof and I'm sure neither have you and therefore they remain conspiracy theories.
And unfortunately these hypothesis are all too common with untoward motives behind them from certain people/groups. A classic tale of instilling a reaction from other people against Jews. and therefor in my opinion any conspiracy theory of the sort tick the anti-Semitic trope box.
It also does not help to resolve any on going issues and just continues to flame dissent towards Jews.
