    im the unique one - in the seat about to be the greens first - MELBOURNE. my booth is on the outer fringe.

    very quiet crowd - all number of parties represented, and the leaflet holders are all very chatty with each other - normally not the case for open and calm discussions with that lot.

    im just pondering whether we see some sort of repeat of 93, where the majors get rejected by a sufficient number in the lower house as well as the upper house, and preferences from the greens get the ALP in.

    are there any other lower house seats in australia the greens could maybe even take outright, like melbourne, potentially giving them the balance of power in both houses.

    cat amongst the pidgeons would be an understatement.
