And no amount of goodwill, hand-wringing, progressive, "live and let live" kumbaya will ever change the dynamic on the ground in Israel.
I'm not one who says Israel is innocent in all this or that she hasn't played a role in the conflict. But she has made concession after concession after concession and the Muslims have made none. Not one. Ever. And every concession made has been used by the likes of Hamas to advance their mission... destroy Israel
Now...as bad as it is...Israel will do what IT thinks it needs to secure itself and as importantly, establish the DETERRENCE. So to ENTIRELY decapitate and destroy Hamas' capacity to cause terror and bring about its charter is now the mission.
