Mate, this has been going on since 1905 when the first
Ukrainian Kibbutz was set up .
The legitimate boundaries of the State of Israel were
this set down by the UN in 1948
West Bank...Jordan
Gaza: Egypt.
Golan Heights: Syria
Here is the original State of Israel as approved by the UN in 1948:
Now here is the State of Israel 1982 with extra land gained by war:
West Bank : ....Israel
Gaza:.............. Israel
Golan Heights: Israel
So I put it to you if:
(a) If Russia manages to hold on to the Crimea and the 4 SE Ukrainian Oblasts
for say 20 years and then Ukrainian Rebels cross the border and commit
atrocities against civilians, wouldn't that also be terrorism....eh?
Or would it be a feeble attempt by Ukrainian nationalists to hit back at
their coloniser ?......you say eh.
IMO it would be terrorism also
This current conflict is hot happening in an historical vacuum just because
you don't understand the history of this region...eh
That said , I condemn war as a strategy of resolving conflict just as
as I condemn domestic violence as a means of resolving domestic differences.
IMO , the issue here is: does the punishment fit the crime and
it links like the punishment has still a long way to go yet.
The big danger to Israel is that if it kills too many Palestinian civilians
that the Muslim world will rise up against Israel and draw the US
into yet another M/E war.
War is the problem....not the solution
