You don't build a production facility which takes 2 years to build so you can only satisfy next year's inventory requirements. You're clutching straws. You build for the future if you think you'll be around in future. Otherwise you have to do it again in one or 2 years.
Similar with housing, a lot of people buy a slighlty bigger house to future proof where they might be in 3-5 years time? Might be a bit big today for 2 people but in 5 years you could be 4 or 5 in a house.
There's a lot of conviction amongst surgeons in the product and given a 100% growth rate today; doesn't seem like a bad idea to have runway.
Given they had insto support in the capital raise that called out the spend on the factory, there are quite a few people that supported the decision at that raise
