The biggest problem for us long haulers is that we should have dumped our shares at the time that the LAMP license was extended.
i am not negative on 4000 shares i bought in 2019 (LYSDY) and am sick to my stomach knowing that we may easily break the AU$6.00 print tonight.
But, to a certain extent, i am caught between a rock and a hard place. By selling now, it will be the second time in 12 years that LYC has beaten me down with heavy losses. I think i am of the mind to live through this upcoming AU$5+ share price, and if i do sell, I will never look back at this company or this sector again. The whole space is a DUMPSTER FIRE.
As of today, LYC has wiped out US$125,000.00 from my portfolio value.
Nothing but a moderation of inflation, a reset on some pressing international issues, and the return of a more confident and secure consumer will heal this issue. Though, I agree the a permanent solution to LAMP, and full production volume from Kalgoorie could help stop the hemigering, but not return us to a place of strength.
Looking at the broad picture, LYC suffers from the same issue as 2012. A raw material monopoly from China, an inhospitable government in Malaysia, limited consumer demand, and no political will in the west to truly undertake the necessary regulations to combat climate change.
To sum up, very bad days with few options. GLTA
