I disagree, whilst Sissingue doesn't add a huge amount to the portfolio, it sustains Perseus' long-term social status in West Africa. Even if it runs at an operating profit of $0, it demonstrates to governments that Perseus is willing to sustain employment of those in the mine. Additionally, the other 14% ownership is with SOMICI and the government of Cote d'Ivoire. It's likely a political move to keep it running.
From memory, the 2022 LOM update stated it'sonly meant to be in operation till early 2026, so wouldn't be an attractive sale to anyone anyway.
