Need to refute the statements that Mavis Lake will materially benefit from its proximity to Dryden.
As another user observed upon visiting the town, the main employer had closed down (paper mill?). Local highschool etc had closed and the town was 'dieing'.
Just like Moranbah in Queensland, where local mines had to construct camps next to the town in order to accomodate FIFO workers, as no one wants to live there. Expect the same for Dryden. So most cost savings from having a local workforce wont materialise.
