agree, labor stuffed up, no doubt
imo, and only in political terms as opposed to my bias, rudd should have gone to the DD as the ETS is what he took to the electorate in '07 - backing down from that was the start of the slide for labor, then it was compounded by his sacking - this was a double edged sword and qld duly showed us what they thought as the state with the only really significant swing
on the other hand, if turnbull had kept the lib leadership, we would have had an ETS, but they may have also had a majority govt from this election
