The current plan as per announcement as I see it is to drill past prognosed TD but with hole condition dictating how far they deepen the well.

As I've detailed in an earlier post deepening a well always comes with risks and you need to carefully weight up the benefits of deepening the well against the risks of doing so. The deeper you go the longer the open hole section and also the longer the hole has been open since being drilled.

The least risky approach would actually be to to stop as soon as enough of the Lower Angwa is opened up to allow evaluation with the longest wireline logging string (length of string plus 10-20m to allow for fill).
