Firstly, as I’ve stated here before, I’m just someone who enjoys research and I don’t have a scientific or medical background.

Funny, but it was a quest to understand ADHD and how best to address it that first got me ploughing through medical-related research more than two decades ago.

Research on ADHD has doubtlessly exploded since then but it is still seen as a highly complex disorder with much about the condition and its causes still to be understood.

Prompted by your question, I’ve taken a quick look at some more recent research on the causes of ADHD.

The main focus still seems to be on the role played by altered levels of neurotransmitters, in particular dopamine and noradrenaline.

But there is also more recent research that suggests that abnormal formation of dendrites, dysregulated ERK signalling, lower levels of IGF-1 and inflammation may also have a role to play (links to some of that research below, if you are interested).

This wasn’t something I was aware of and does suggest to me that NNZ-2591 could potentially help with the condition.
