A different perspective in the lead up to GFC , the demise of unions from early 90's ,causing a lowering of disposable income to service low interest rate debt.
I have noticed no industrial activity for higher wages and better conditions since that period. All debt was serviceable at around 14% interest rates.
Unions , like them or not , played a big roll in our previous standard of living.
I can see this country heading the same way as USA , with every employee expected to derive part of their income from 'tips'.
