How difficult is the decision to make? If you carefully risk it out the decision is usually not that difficult.

It usually gets difficult only when you're working for a large oiler and drilling even an extra cm past the prognosed TD triggers an overly complex change of management process. I've actually sat with a bit hanging off bottom while waiting on a decision from town on drilling a few metres past prognosed TD so I could get full coverage over a hydrocarbon zone with the wireline logging tools
