This is exactly what management and others have been harping on about for some time. The geopolitical situation with China and the reality of them threatening too and acting to cut off the world’s supply of critical minerals couldn’t be met by inaction this was always going to be the case. Like I’ve said previously the Pentagon has had people scouring the earth for a reliable supply of economical high grade rare earths for years in a region or regions that are politically stable and aren’t reliant on or under Chinese influence, Europe is in much the same situation as well.
There is enormous potential here if MRD can prove their huge high grade resource is economical, it would be huge for the country as well if Esperance turns out to be the Pilbara of rare earths.
