We just need a credible person, to explain in layman's term's, how much electricity the cloud is using in context of dollars. What the projected demand for more storage and therefore power required to operate, (chuck in a carbon footprint if run on coal).
Then explain as an example, if google maps were held in 4DS reram versus dram how much power is saved.
Or any other examples.
We didn't do that much mobile data with 3g, 4g exponentially increased the volume, 5g just expands the reason you cease to store your data.
I happily pay for significant Dropbox storage, so don't need to worry about backups any more, and can access everything whenever, wherever on phone / ipad / PC
4DS needs to promote it's green credentials.
