There was already a State of Palestine. You can't declare independence at the drop of a hat and when there was already a State in existence. Try it in Australia and see what happens. Its call secessionism.
The US had a civil war when the South declared its independence!!!
Nonetheless, there was NO REFERENDUM for the people who was living in the area at the time, to decide whether they want independence from Palestine.
Independence is NOT decided by a group of para-military. That is secessionism!!!
I will repeat again: The UN General Assembly had NO LEGAL Authority to partition Palestine - that RESOLUTION was ONLY a RECOMMENDATION. its NOT International Law. Look it up.
