At a drill depth of 3300 m MD the reported mud loss was 30 bbl/hr, so if we assume there's 170m of sand open at that time and constant mud filtrate loss up until Friday this week. There will be about 17,000 bbls of total mud loss. It's got nothing to do with ROP. 17000 bbls divided by 170m is 100 bbl per metre. But if you assume scenarios such as the highest perm zones take 10 times the mud loss or 3 times the mud loss, then you might conclude the zones with low invasion might take 3-5 hrs to cleanup per station.
if you're going to give field examples please ensure they are realistic analogues for the case in hand.
I've always understood how the MDT works, and it's worth mentioning that in tight formation the max rate might not even achieve 45 cc/s because the tool is limited to a max drawdown rating, but I have assumed it is achievable to simplify the evaluation.
