The official reason is that we are on hold while awaiting the issuance of mining license for all tenements at Manono and whilst awaiting outcomes of legal challenges by Jin Cheng Mining Co and Zijin Mining. This includes obtaining by deception both decree to sell rights to the project, as well now attempting to obtain against the order of international, legally binding arbitration court the rights to tenement 13359 to the north which appears to have been stripped from AVZ against the DRC mining code (in the opinions of AVZ management).

A positive side effect of this is that AVZ shareholders are protected from malicious entities from manipulating the share price to unjustified levels whilst outcomes of the above have not been determined, as that manipulation may hinder the ability of the company to gain a clear answer on the issues.
