you can’t fault a person for taking steps to ensure they can pay their tax obligations. I’m sure their financial planners all advised them they ensure they have the money put away - as you can’t read the future it ensures they don’t have to sell more than they anticipated or wanted if they left it till it was due and a drastic change happened to the SP
its the sort of prudent financial action your would expect competent management to take on behalf of the company, let alone themeselves
