The only reason the coalition got 49.4% of the vote is because it includes the nationals vote and includes their share of preferences from all the other candidates. The Liberals on their own got a lot less votes than Labor.
Most Greens voters want Labor so when you take that into account more people prefer Labor to the Coalition. Thats what two party preferred is all about and is our system of government.
So no spin please. It is clear more people prefer Labor to the Coalition.
