If Jh is a shrewd operator and I believe he is this is a very smart ploy think of the revenue this will create even if we ended up with a profit of 5 dollars a tonne work that out if we are shipping out million tonne a year.

Yeah and when will this revenue appear? It sounds like you think mining coal is as simple as organising an excavator and a truck and then starting digging.

It will take at least 10 years to ship coal from the Pedirka, and well over a billion dollars, probably more like $5B. And that's IF they find a decent deposit at a shallow enough depth.

IMHO CTP needs to become a self-funded explorer rather than put faith in a JV partner to mine coal which might or might not exist shallower than 300m. THEN and only then can they chase tight gas plays, shale gas, and coal resources.

Just my opinion of course.
