Spodumene crystal growth can be described by shape , so laths are of a larger size. It may or may not indicate the overall volume of the mineralised lithium in the ore body ,but it’s certainly good for metallurgical properties ie processing.
Trace minerals are generally fine.And each deposit can be different so Spod can be grey , pink , green, yelllow, white, even colourless!
It does mean though that in core samples you need to know what yr looking at before making assumptions.
