Absolutely no one said vote Silviu out in this thread before you mentioned it, in any of the posts above, DV, not even a down-ramper. But yes, now you mention it, formally voting against remuneration would in many people's opinion be a very good idea and very helpful to aligning executive performance to shareholder interests.
You might be familiar with 'signaling' theory in finance, tending to relate to executives signaling to shareholders (and prospective shareholders), very well empirically demonstrated via insider share buying and the like, DV. Voting against executive remuneration a very clear and rare formal opportunity for shareholders to signal back to executives. The reality is few vote against, even against the most dire of executive performances - which of course does not apply in this case to be clear - and the executive team will get a free pass, other than the devaluation of their past share awards, to which lower hurdled awards will be added at this AGM of course.
