But the cost of BlueGen isnt a make or break thing for CFU. How many people pay $1000 for a Blueberry or iPhone when there are plenty of other phones out there for far less money, have better reception, battery life but dont have the bells and whistles.

Its all very subjective what peoples wants are. But the fact is CFU are not selling to the public. They are selling to the utility providers who over the next 20-30 years need to put in place infrastructure well into the billions of dollars. CFU and de-centralised power offsets this cost...the users will be leasing the units and only be looking at part of the cost of the unit in our lease. The savings by not having to upgrade and invest in infrastructure will mean utility providers will be in a good place to heavily subsidise the cost of units (We hope)

But as always, with volume comes scales of cost and a cheaper unit price would make the technology more appealing.

I say technology, because, really its going to be the big European utility companies (also Japan-America) where fully inegrated fuel cells give the volume of sales to make units cheaper to lease back from utility providers. If BlueGens take off as well in warmer climates who do not have a great need for space heating then great.

Oh, and sorry for typos...layign in bed in a hotel typing one handed in the dark before getting up means my already bad typing is even worse
