Someone on HC mentioned yesterday that it was a tax write off for RWL. Highly plausible explanation from the articles I have researched. See above link.

Lesson for me. Don’t invest with the billionaire types that treat investment in companies as a potential tax write off. Go with management with domain and past relevant experience and skin in the game.

As other forumers have alluded, I would be very keen to see who turns up at the register. Hopefully, some notable US based backers who know of, and endorses, Tom and Doug Brown will show up.

I can’t tell whether this was all engineered from the outset. Stepping in now into FLC for Doug, Tom and Ben must be an opportunity worth striking and worth staking their reputations. . Hopefully it works out for all.
