Hey Scottport....as I climb down off the ceiling (not sure whether it was nitrous oxide or helium after all LOL)
Anway I just had a look at the item posted by Leroy over on GGE and was interested by this in the first two paragraphs.
"NAPOLEONVILLE Assumption Parish Police Jury members voted 8-0 Wednesday to approve a letter of no objection allowing drilling that has already begun on a relief well to aid in rectifying a blown-out oil well northwest of Paincourtville.
However, the jury also voted to postpone acting on a similar request for the blown-out well itself and a request to begin drilling on an unrelated well, opting to seek legal opinions on both matters"
Okay read that again ! So they approved the "drilling" of the relief well but (in the second paragraph) postponed acting on a similar request for the blown out well..... Ah ...does that mean the Operator was asking to be able to drill again at the #1 well ? Are they wanting to drill another sidetrack after they plug and abandon the lower section. Now that is puzzling. Have I missed something ? Have I had too much nitrous oxide ?
