I don' think if the deal falls through they have 'no prospects of development'. That is a bit extreme. There are many options to pursue including other Chinese backers, other mid-west region operators, or other big Australian resource companies.
The best part of being invested in a company where the directors have a significant financial interest is you can be confident they will pursue value adding options.
