With regard to approvals, I think the score with the Locals is now:
1) DL-1 - "postpone action" - i.e. No approval yet to continue work (at least until "killed" by Relief Well).
From this it would seem they are open to reconsidering after kill. Seems the decision to "Plug & Abandon" this well may have been done to appease local objections.
2) Relief Well approved - "8-0 for letter of no objection")
3) No approval for ANY OTHER well - the "unrelated well"
(i.e. DL-3 or more to follow). Request for Kindee to attend the "next jury meeting" is a fair request.
All in all the local representatives seem open and keen to negotiations on further plans for drilling and are more concerned with keeping to requirements of Ordinances (fences and buffer zones!!).
All this will be a temporary holdup but hopefully be resolved satisfactorily. The legal issues may drag on for some time.
Something else is in the back of my mind - were not the next 2 wells (DS-2 and 3) rated as "PUD"? - this to my meagre understanding infers a more likely positive drilling result.
