Why ?

Renewable technologies for a 100% grid are quite a way from being mature. Solar and wind are getting close while grid forming inverters, batteries etc still have a long way to go.

As to the prices in an electricity market, here are the facts from the ACCC. So greedy old gas is the cause of high power prices. Not renewables.
