I looked at some other ASX announcements with that wording and it usually means takeover offer.
SQM or ALB didn't go into trading halt when they put their offers.
You would think it's something significant if it's taking so long. For example, WC8 took a while to announce Tabba Tabba acquisition back in May, but their wording was 'significant transaction'.
