The proposed on-market buyback was criticised by an online SH question who said it merely results in a short term SP lift, making it easier for executives to hit KPIs (and hence receive STIP/LTIP payments.
Goyder implied a buyback was good. He claimed QAN could 'withstand shocks' (but didn't mention that was only because the previous Federal Coalition Government propped it up with A$2.7 billion of taxpayers' funds during Covid).
