You are obviously incredibly naive, optomistic and trusting.
My assumption is:
IMEC: So whats your price. DM: Well, we always promised JD's biggest deal ever. IMEC: Hysterical laughter IMEC: Well,we know you think this is worth billion plus, that's going to be a big ask. IMEC: What do you want out of this? Perhaps you and our partners should reflect.
DM: Hi JD it isn't going great, we'll be stratching to get a billion, but Howard and I have an idea how we might pull a win win out for us .
DM: If we are included in the bonus pool, we'll pick up several million, that takes the pain out of selling this cheap, and compensate not getting true value. We could also continue to surpress the share price so you could take up some of the placement we'll push through at the AGM. As soon as we have that all bedded down we can ink the deal to sell at 55c that IMEC thinks they can get across the line.
