Said it before, I'll say it again. There's no conflict of interest here. The government will be formed by whoever can secure a majority in the house of reps. If the GG were to allow Labor to form a government without that it wouldn't last past the first (no confidence) vote.

As to Abbott, he doesn't seem to understand that he didn't win and that he needs those independants to form a government. What else is against him? Well, himself it seems.
