My understanding is that several people on this forum would prefer M-2 to reach beyond 4500m MD to investigate the Mkanga in the Permian. We were informed the rig could drill to 5000m or was it there is sufficient drill pipe to reach 5000m MD? Although the horizons are higher up on the structure compared to the horizons at the flanks (M-1), the bed thicknesses were expected to be thicker at M-2, hence the focus should be to drill 6" as deep as possible, certainly beyond 4000m MD.
