Did anyone else listen to the Brookfield renewables earnings call? It was interesting in that the prepared remarks talked of how this was a done deal. Only one of the analysts asked the question about Origin and not surprisingly Conor Tesky said he couldn't go in to detail but he seemed confident. I find this all particularly interesting. I am a shareholder in both BEPC and ORG. If I view it from the Brookfield perspective ( no pun - but there is a really good podcast called Brookfield perspectives) then the deal is done and they are not being quite honest with us. So there are some potential red flags here. They have 2 big acquisitions on the go. Westinghouse Electric and Origin Energy. Westinghouse being one of the the biggest producers of nuclear energy plants in the world - not the fridge people. Origin is the other. I think it is extremely important to them. Interesting to see this pan out.
