    Isn't exactly democratic that when you vote a National in to govern you effectively give your vote to the Liberals.

    A 'Coalition' is effectively like two people ganging onto the one in what effectively should be an individual fight.

    It's basically what cowards do in schoolyards.

    I don't believe that preferential voting is properly democratic either.

    These two systems combine to effectively keep smaller organisations from getting too much of the vote (As not too many want to vote for a party that hasn't a chance)

    It's amazing that the greens got as many votes as they did, but I suspect most of these were swinging labour voters.

    Dispense with coalitions and preferential voting and we'll have a much better democracy.
