You're starting to sound like mbot.

Over 12months ago, mbot tried to tell me that RO is not part of the Lilac process when I was pointing out that RO is energy intensive and that this process will be energy intensive. Now you are telling me that SLI@Lanxess doesn't use 70% more power than Lilac@Kachi, because SLI is not producing their own HCL? Oh dear.

Let's have a look at the Lilac patents shall we. Fundamental to the Lilac process and its claims are RO and HCL production and recycling. Also fundamental to its claims is its water usage. How do you think Lilac will achieve 10m3/t water usage? Via recycling streams. Don't you get it? You can't make claims like "low water usage" and include water recycling circuits, but then say that this is not part of the lilac process. Likewise, you can't claim, "It doesn't use more energy than SLI" when fundamental to the process, and the strategy of Kachi has always been to produce HCL ON SITE. You don't get that do you?

Can you not see that the Kachi pilot is a dud? All they piloted was Lilac's bead extraction. That is is. There was no concentration, no HCL production, no reagent production, no recycling, not purification or carbonation. None of it. To make things worse, Lilac stated that capacity was 40tpa LCE, yet delivered 5tpa. What a flop.

You know what else is not included in those power consumption numbers? The energy used to produce the Lilac beads to begin with.
