Good morning from Germany!
There's a discussion going on here that I've read X times, but it always leaves out an important aspect.
The lithium battery may not be perfect for everyone, but waiting for a miracle worker to invent the perfect drive or fuel or energy source leads to a scenario that you should explain to your children.
Question child: "Mom - Dad, why didn't you buy a car that emits less or no CO2?"
Mom - Dad's answer: "Well, we weren't ready for a part of oursto give up comfort. We didn't want to give up one millimeter of our wealth and preserve it for you in order to give you a better life."
Child: “That didn’t work at all!”
What is always calculated here in monetary terms, costs vs. range, travel time vs. refueling stops,
is comparable to a calculation that you do to calculate the cost of a leg, an eye, a lung for your child in order to get the best price for it.
You calculate how much your children's future is worth to you, except that nature doesn't know money, doesn't need it and would probably see money as a natural enemy if it could.
