"So the Saturn probe was useless?"

- we don't know if they had Saturn or conventional probe deployed for the station shown in the announcement.
- they had permeability and managed to get a cleaned up flow from the station so whatever probe they were using it was doing its job
- differential sticking of the cable has nothing to do with the type of probe you have deployed.
- From a risk point of view you can argue that using the Saturn probe means less time sitting on a station pumping out so lowered risk of getting stuck
